VADition’s FortiAnalyzer Service Gives Resellers Access to Fortinet’s High Value Security Analysis Suite at Low, Incremental Monthly Cost to Drive White-Label Recurring Revenues
INFOSECURITY EUROPE, LONDON; Stand G22 – 27th April 2010: VADition, the value adding social enterprise distributor, today announced the introduction of its latest cloud-based managed offering for reseller partners: the FortiAnalyzer service. The service gives resellers and their customers access to Fortinet’s powerful logging, auditing and analysis platform – FortiAnalyzer – without the need to install or acquire the additional device. Instead, for the first time in the UK, partners using the white-label service are able to support their FortiGate customers with a granular real-time monitoring and reporting service at low incremental cost and with no technical supervision.
“FortiAnalyzer is a great product for customers who value real-time management information or need it for compliance purposes, but mid-market customers with limited Fortinet kit deployed need to be able to justify the costs,” commented Barrie Desmond, Business Development Director at VADition. “This service converts that potential demand into a very straightforward sales opportunity that benefits partners who want to deliver value but who don’t have the infrastructure or technical skills, and benefits customers that pay a marginal monthly fee for their ‘slice’ of a large enterprise-scale solution hosted in the cloud.”
The FortiAnalyzer solution from Fortinet is a hardware-based solution best suited for large enterprises who wish to extract, audit and analyse real-time management information from their significant estates of distributed FortiGate appliances – typically for visibility and compliance purposes. In VADition’s managed service model, the FortiAnalyzer technology is managed within VADition’s cloud infrastructure and, using Fortinet virtual domain (VDOM) technology, can command multiple instances of client deployments on behalf of partners. The granular management information, configurable via a graphical web interface, is presented to end-customers as a white-label service; using each individual partner’s branding as appropriate.
“Our partners are keen to confront their end-customers with an ROI justification that really means something, which is why this and our other managed services have been proving popular,” added Desmond. “This is what adding value is all about; it’s clear this kind of approach benefits everybody.”
VADition partner Pasporte has recently adopted the new service, Steve Bedford, Technical Director at Pasporte said, “With a lot of our customers in the retail industry, we understand what a huge issue PCI DSS compliance is. The FortiAnalyzer service has meant that we are able to offer customers ongoing best-of-breed security analysis at a fraction of the cost of deploying a standalone platform.”
Paul Judd, Regional Director UK for Fortinet, concludes, “VADition is demonstrating the versatility of the FortiAnalyzer platform, making it easier for partners to drive greater value to customers without having to deliver the service themselves. FortiAnalyzer is a powerful offering in its own right, but this model makes it even more compelling.”
