First Partner Signs Up To White-label FortiAnalyzer Managed Service From VADition

Pasporte Targets Mid-Market PCI Compliance Needs with Fortinet-based Approach

INFOSECURITY EUROPE, LONDON; Stand G22 – 27th April 2010: VADition, the value adding distributor, today announced Pasporte as the first partner to adopt its new managed FortiAnalyzer service.  Pasporte, whose customers include EuroTunnel and Jury’s Doyle Hotels, is using the service to support PCI DSS requirements at a UK goods and foodservice retailer that uses FortiGate multi-threat security appliances at 20 sites nationwide.

“Mid-market enterprises with compliance needs that necessitate an auditing, logging and analysis system for their branch-site security infrastructure, often face the prospect of acquiring a specialised add-on solution that delivers more than they need and with a price tag to match,” commented Steve Bedford, Technical Director at Pasporte.  “One of our retail industry customers couldn’t justify the investment in a dedicated FortiAnalyzer system, but were more than satisfied to benefit from a FortiAnalyzer in the cloud, via the service we agreed with VADition.  We expect other customers using Fortinet technology to be similarly positive.”

“Partners want recurring revenues, end customers want functionality and vendors want market penetration.  These sorts of riddles are what distribution in 2010 should be able to resolve,” commented Barrie Desmond, Business Development Director at VADition.  “We believe we are one step ahead with our cloud services that have proved extremely popular since we introduced them at the end of last year.  This latest launch, with support from Fortinet, is penetrating the extremely powerful FortiAnalyzer platform into business opportunities that couldn’t previously be warranted on a traditional procurement basis.”
